I love them but my wife and I need space. We’ve been married for 4 years with one child. We definitely need our own house, but my parents are too dependent on me.

Hi,
I can see you do not want to hurt your parents’ feelings. This shows you care for them.
You will have to list out why you want to move out. What benefits do you see?
You will also have to look at your parents’ fears and apprehensions. How can you address them? Change is not easy. So you will need patience to get your parents to accept your decision. If you can reassure them about your availability, in spite of being in another house, then they may not feel abandoned. Be gentle with them.
All the best!
